Privacy Policy

Teslink Wear ("we", "our", "the app") is a phone and Wear OS companion for Tesla vehicles. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Data we collect
- Tesla account authorization: When you connect your Tesla account, we receive OAuth tokens to read vehicle status and send commands you request (for example lock, frunk, trunk, climate).
- Vehicle information: Battery level, range, lock state, charging state, temperature, and related status from the Tesla Fleet API.
- Session tokens: Encrypted session tokens stored on your phone and watch to authenticate API requests.
- Watch pairing: When you pair a Wear OS watch, the phone shares a limited watch session (vehicle identifier and session token) so the watch can sync status and send commands. Pairing metadata may be stored on our backend until the session expires.
Data we do not collect
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not store your Tesla account password.
How we use data
We use the data above only to operate Teslink Wear: display vehicle status, execute commands you initiate, keep you signed in, and sync your watch after pairing.
Third-party services
- Tesla Fleet API — vehicle data and commands. Tesla's own privacy policy also applies to data Tesla processes: tesla.com/legal/privacy
- Google Cloud (Cloud Run) — hosts our backend API at myteslink.com
Tesla OAuth refresh tokens are kept on our backend only to maintain your session. They are not sold or shared with other third parties for their own purposes.
Data retention and deletion
- Phone sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity.
- Watch sessions expire after 7 days (or sooner if you unpair or sign out).
- Sign out in the app clears session data stored on your phone and watch.
- To request deletion of server-side session data, email hello@myteslink.com with enough detail for us to identify your session. We will delete applicable backend records within a reasonable time.
You may also revoke Teslink Wear's access in the Tesla app at any time, which stops further Tesla data access.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Session tokens are signed and stored using platform secure storage on your devices.
Children's privacy
Teslink Wear is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
